Wharfedale Pro PSX112

The new PSX112 (12”, 350W Hi-Fi Continuous) active plastic loudspeaker is a powerful and high-quality PA solution for any sound project constrained by budget. Constructed of durable polypropylene and using a full-face steel front grille, PSX112 is a robust and versatile tool—ideal for DJs, musicians, and installations.

Custom Wharfedale Pro drivers have been used. Both PSX models use a class-leading 1.75” HF compression driver to ensure clear and accurate high-frequency performance. Meanwhile, the large 2.0” voice coils used in the LF drivers give efficient power handling, even at extreme volumes. PSX112 is bi-amplified using Class D for the LF and a newly designed Class AB amplifier for the HF. This combination gives a great power-to-price ratio. Simple operation is the key, though. With +/-12dB treble and bass controls and straightforward connectivity, even the most inexperienced user can achieve great sound.

Silent Operation

The two amplifiers inside the PSX112 are extremely efficient. So efficient that they can use convection cooling. This means that there are no fans! Fans inside loudspeakers add to operational noise, weight, and price and can lead to reliability issues. PSX112 has no fan! Ssssssh! - Silent and reliable operation.

Powerful Bi-Amp Performance

This active 12” 2-way speaker delivers 350W of bi-amplified power, with 250W driving the low frequencies and 100W dedicated to the high frequencies. The Class-D LF amp ensures punchy, efficient bass, while the Class-AB HF amp provides smooth, clear treble, making it ideal for both music and speech applications.

Exceptional Sound Quality

With a wide frequency range of 55 Hz–20 kHz and a peak SPL of 128 dB, this speaker produces rich, full-spectrum audio. The 12" woofer with a 2" coil delivers deep, tight lows, while the 1.75" titanium compression driver ensures crisp, articulate highs. Whether indoors or outdoors, it delivers consistent and balanced sound.
