Wharfedale Pro K6012
The LF transducers are a low-distortion design using ferrite magnets with a built-in aluminum ring for optimum heat dissipation. The HF compression drivers have a 1.75” voice coil and use a polyethylene (PE) diaphragm for maximum vocal intelligibility in enclosed spaces. This HF compression driver is coupled to a 70° x 70° waveguide for smooth dispersion regardless of horizontal or vertical placement. The cabinet of the K6000 series is made of high-quality 15 mm multi-layer birch plywood. This plywood is covered with a black, wear-resistant paint treatment. The cabinet is trapezoidal and is equipped with two Neutrik speakON NL4MP connectors.

With 13 M8 threaded suspension points and an additional 6 M8 points in a 100 mm configuration, installation at any angle is straightforward. The hexagonal-hole steel front grille and inner foam lining protect the drive units from dust or insects. HF compression driver The HF compression driver is specifically made to give vocals a sense of space and air. The polyethylene diaphragm material delivers a crispness to high frequencies—without becoming 'harsh.' In addition, the large 1.75" HF voice coil ensures consistent HF power delivery with efficient cooling. All K series models feature the 70° x 70° rounded waveguide. |
Rear ports Carefully tuned rear ports allow a K-series loudspeaker to deliver smooth mid-low frequencies that can usually only be heard from loudspeakers with a larger cabinet size. When positioned either near a wall or in a corner of a room, these ports help to enhance the lower frequencies, even at low volume. |
