Wharfedale Pro 16

Building on the success of the i8 and i8T, the i6 and i6T installation speakers are two-way high-performance Hi-Fi loudspeakers specifically designed for distributed music, paging, and speech applications. Each i6 model features a quality 6.5” low-frequency transducer and 1" dome tweeter housed inside a durable ABS enclosure with a full protective IP54-rated frontal grille. Both models feature Phoenix (Euroblock) input connections for easy on-site wiring, and both models are supplied with a sturdy, adjustable wall mounting bracket. The i6 is a low-impedance 8Ω model, while the i6T features an internal transformer for use with 70/100V installations. With both 8” (i8 / i8T) and 6.5” (i6 / i6T) models, the Wharfedale Pro i series installation loudspeakers are ideal for fixed commercial installations of any scale.

Sold in Pairs—Mounting Brackets Included Both i6 and i6T are sold as pairs to ensure the best value for money. They are also supplied with removable mounting brackets. Wharfedale Pro drivers. Custom Wharfedale Pro drivers deliver a pure, unflavored, and smooth sound. The 6.5" LF driver is smooth and accurate, giving a warmth and depth that is unusual in a plastic installation speaker. Meanwhile, the 1.0" soft dome tweeter gives a clear, but not aggressive, high end. The silk diaphragm material is ideal for speech and paging purposes.

Around the Back

Connections and input settings are discreetly placed around the back. Both the i6 and i6T use Phoenix connectors for bare wire connections. The image shown is of the i6T transformer version. This shows the transformer tap control, which is adjusted with a small screwdriver but is surface-mounted, which ensures that no accidental power changes can be made.

Powerful

The beauty of the i6 and i6T is that you don't have to worry about finding specialist mounting hardware. The mounting brackets are included. These brackets are simple to install and give comprehensive adjustment angles due to the semi-circular 'ball and socket' design. i6 and i6T are easy to mount, easy to adjust, and simple to securely lock in place. There is also a threaded insert for attachment of the included seismic restraint tether.
