DP-4120

Suitable for professional live sound reinforcement or fixed installations, the top-of-the-range 4-channel DP-4120 delivers extreme power from a lightweight design. Its advanced switch-mode power supply and super-efficient Class D topology deliver high power with low distortion. With 4 discrete channels and multiple operating modes, it's simple to configure into the most complex of installations or touring rigs. The DP series is also stable down to 2Ω.  This means they will drive multiple 8Ω or 16Ω loudspeakers.

The Wharfedale Pro DP-4120 is a powerful and lightweight 4-channel Class D amplifier, designed for professional live sound and fixed installations. Delivering up to 1,200W per channel at 8 ohms and an impressive 3,468W per channel at 2 ohms, it also supports bridged mono operation up to 6,936W at 4 ohms. With a high-efficiency switch-mode power supply, front-panel cooling fans, and comprehensive protection features—including thermal, short-circuit, and overcurrent safeguards—the DP-4120 ensures reliable, high-performance operation in demanding environments.

PROTECTION

Internally, a full suite of protection circuitry includes thermal, overcurrent, DC, short-circuit protection, and power on/off mute. This level of protection ensures long-term system reliability and peace of mind should the worst ever happen.

Front panel LEDs also keep the sound engineer well informed with fault, peak, and signal LEDs.

The variable speed fans keep the amplifier rack quiet when not in use and cool while it's running at high volume.

STABLE DOWN TO 2 OHMS Stable down to 2 Ohms (*except DP-4030) and with huge power output. The power output figures of the DP series are staggering.  The rated power outputs are measured at THD = 1%, continuous sinusoidal 1 KHz, with each channel working simultaneously. This allows for multiple 8 Ω or 16 Ω speakers to be driven with extreme power.

MODES AND SWITCHES

The DP Series features stereo, bridge, and mono modes. Use in bridge mode with an individual high-powered subwoofer or use a single DP to power your whole sound system equally.

Mono mode saves external cabling by splitting a single input to feed both channels of the amplifier.

In addition, gains can easily be controlled by the rear panel gain switch. This allows for installation into almost any rig or venue.

The DP-2200 features XLR inputs with a maximum input level of +22 dBu, allowing for integration with any typical professional audio system.

DESIGN

The 1U design allows for powerful systems to be configured in extremely confined spaces. In the tour rack or the amp room, DP delivers reliable power from a small box.
