The KEW 6516 is a sophisticated multifunction tester designed to conduct a variety of electrical measurements efficiently and safely.

Zs/Ra Limit

Zs Limit compares the values required by the Electrical Installations Standard with measured results.

The verification of safety requirements on an electrical installation is simplified by using the Zs/Ra Limit function. This function will automatically check if the measured loop impedance for TN (or earth loop for TT) is low enough to trip (disconnect) the MCB / Fuse / RCD, giving the result of PASS or FAIL on the display.

Anti-Trip Technology (with 2 & 3 wire)

For no trip LOOP L-PE testing on all RCDs. With 3 wires (L, N, PE), to get the best accuracy readings. With 2 wires only, very useful in case of no Neutral (i.e., 3-phase motor lines).

KEW 6516 can download the test data by connecting the USB adaptor (Model 8212-USB) and then print complete Test Reports on a PC.

1. Continuity Test: Measures continuity with a selectable buzzer for quick judgment.

2. Insulation Resistance Test: Performs insulation testing at 100, 250, 500, and 1000V with auto discharge voltage.

3. Loop Impedance Test: This test includes high current measurement and no-trip (ATT) measurement to bypass RCDs during testing and prevent unnecessary tripping.

4. RCD Test: Tests various RCD types, including AC, A, F, B, and EV with both single and auto tests, ramp tests, and contact voltage measurement.

5. Voltage Measurement: Provides true RMS voltage measurements from 2- 600V and includes mains frequency measurement.

6. Phase Rotation Test: Determines the phase sequence on three-phase lines with a clear indication on the display.

7. Earth Resistance Test: Tests earth resistance using both two and three-wire methods with all necessary accessories included.

8. Surge Protection Device (SPD) Test: Tests SPDs that use varistors to measure the tripping voltage without damaging the device.

9. Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) Function: Tests the insulation resistance and protective conductor resistance of portable appliances for both class I and II.

10. Bluetooth Connectivity: Allows data exchange with Android and iOS devices using the "KEW CONNECT" application for enhanced reporting and data management.
