Eaton 9PX8KIBP—High‑Performance 8 kVA Online UPS

The Eaton 9PX8KIBP is an 8 kVA / 7.2 kW online double‑conversion uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to deliver robust, continuous power protection for mission‑critical IT systems, servers, network infrastructure, and industrial equipment. Its rack/tower (6U) form factor provides flexibility for deployment in data centers and enterprise edge racks, while its high‑capacity performance supports demanding loads reliably.

Advanced Power Protection & Efficiency

This UPS uses online double‑conversion topology, which continuously regenerates clean AC power, isolating connected equipment from mains irregularities such as voltage sags, surges, frequency variations, and electrical noise. The result is a pure sine‑wave output with a 0.9 output power factor, meaning up to 7.2 kW of usable real power from its 8 kVA rating—ensuring efficient and dependable operation for sensitive and high‑density equipment.  The 9PX8KIBP maintains tight voltage and frequency regulation, with an adjustable output range (200–250 V ±1%) and broad input tolerance (176–276 V without derating; extended to 100–276 V with derating). This makes it resilient in environments with unstable power mains.

Battery System & Runtime Capabilities

The unit includes hot‑swappable sealed lead‑acid batteries managed with Eaton’s Advanced Battery Management (ABM®) and temperature‑compensated charging to extend battery health and longevity. It automatically recognizes external battery modules (EBMs), enabling extended runtime when additional autonomy is required.

Typical backup time provisioned by the internal battery configuration sustains critical loads long enough for orderly shutdowns or external generator takeover, with significant runtime increases when paired with EBMs.
