The Eaton 9PX6KIPM31 is a high‑capacity online/double‑conversion UPS power module designed to deliver dependable, grid‑independent power conditioning for critical infrastructure, IT systems, and industrial applications. It is rated at 6000 VA / 5400 W with a 0.9 output power factor, providing full usable real power to connected equipment. The unit is configured for hardwired input and output connections and supports both rack (3U) and tower deployments with included stands.

Electrical Performance and Output Quality

This Eaton UPS uses online/double‑conversion topology, which continuously regenerates clean AC power to connected loads, isolating them from surges, sags, brownouts, and frequency anomalies. The output is a pure sine wave across a configurable nominal voltage range (200/208/220/230/240 V ± 1 %), ensuring stable power for sensitive servers, network infrastructure, and other electronics. By default, the UPS operates with a 230 V output nominal with hardwired connections.

Input, Efficiency, and Power Handling

Designed for three‑phase mains, the Eaton 9PX6KIPM31 accepts a 400 V nominal input (configurable across 380/400/415 V) with a wide operational range (305–480 V) and a high input power factor >0.99, enhancing efficiency at the point of use. Frequency tolerance spans 40–70 Hz, accommodating variable grid conditions. The UPS achieves around 94 % efficiency in standard online mode and up to 98 % in eco/efficiency mode, reducing energy loss and cooling requirements.

Communications and Control Features

For monitoring and control, the 9PX6KIBP includes a multilingual graphical LCD display that provides real‑time status, load levels, and diagnostic information. Connectivity options comprise a USB port (HID‑compliant), RS‑232 serial port, mini‑terminal blocks for remote On/Off and remote power off (RPO), dry contacts (4 outputs + relay, DB9), and a DB15 for parallel operation. One expansion slot supports optional communication cards for SNMP or other remote management interfaces. Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager and Intelligent Power Protector software integrate with the UPS for automated shutdown and remote monitoring.
